another awsome day
i went out again today and got lucky again,found another ten. i was so exited about two tens in one weekend i didnt fill out the top part of my card only the tag, got back to spud point and got a ticket. my day went from being on cloud nine to draging my nose in the dirt. im the one that always tells everyone i dive with, make sure and fill out everything and check it twice. i wish i would have followed my own advice today. what really sucks is i only brought in one ab and got popped for something stupid, and there are plenty of poachers they over look,i guess the nice guy does finish last. oh by the way the ocean was flat with 10-12 feet of vis at 10:00 and looked even better from the boat around 2:00. Bummer deal on the citation, but congratulations on the two great finds!
I was out yesterday with a buddy at one of the state parks. When we were back at our car relaxing, a ranger came by to check for parking passes and did the obligatory game/license check. Our tags were in order, but what saved the day was that I had packed an extra pen in my dry box for filling out the tags. As it turns out both my sharpie and my buddy's pen had failed as we filled out our tags at the water's edge. Fortunately, the ballpoint back-up worked. The writing was smeared and smudged on our report cards after handling them with wet hands, but the ranger didn't balk.
Once again, bummer on the infraction. If you take it to court, hopefully the judge will be lenient.

Man brandon you have one hell of a weekend thanks for for tthe phone calls it was great talking with you. Like I siad man pretty awesome to naiil two tens with one being a 10.75 I know guys that have dove their whole life and never found one way to get R done brother. Now that was dumb. How much is that ticket going to cost you? Hope it isn't of the 500 dollar variety. And you're damn lucky he didn't confiscate your ab along with it.
