Diving by brail on the sonoma coast.

Met up today with some fellow divers Jason and his buddy Jerry and Dan Anderson for some trophy hunting. We all met up around 8am and headed out to the coast. Once we hit Jenner we could good old lake Pacific but you could tell right off the bat the Vi's was going to suck the whole ocean had a brown tint to it. We still proceed ed to the desired spot in question. Once their we grabbed our gear and begun our hike. Once we got to the watter edge we could tell it was going to be diving by Braille. We got suited up and headed out. Today we were trying a new area from which we normally dive. We kicked out a 150 to 200 yards off shore and proceded to dive. Our dive ranged from about 10 feat to the deepest being 17ft. I don't think you could of dove much deeper cause it would get dark even at those depths, and as Far as a flash light it only made it worse ! kinda like when you turn you high beams on in the fog cause of some much particles floating in the water. We dove for a 2 to 2 1/2 hrs looking for the elusive big guy's. We did not manage to find any but allot of 9 to 9 1/2 to be had. Dan ended up with a 9 1/2,Jason got 2 nice 9+ and Jerry a limit of 9+, my self I did not take anydue to not finding what I wanted. In all it was great to get in the water and be with good like minded divers. I am going again tomorrow with fellow abalonediving.com member Malibu two Andrew Blando, for another day of selective diving.
