Scuba dive at Still water on 7-20-08

This moring met up with a couple of budies of mine,Rob,Peter and Damon. We are all members of a dive club north coast divers.org We met at 9am in good old Monte Rio, loaded all the gear into my truck and went on our way. We got to Jenner to see great water conditions once again ! The only bad thing I could say was that it was overcast and gray other than that great. We got to still water at about 10 am and unloaded the gear. We all got suted up with totall excitment and anticapation, did all the useuall checks and go overs with each other and then planed our dive. We decided to kick all the way out past the furthest set of rocks to the very edge of the kelp bed. We then descended and started our dive. Once on the bottom which was 54 feet with a good sloid 10 to 15 feet of vis maybe more being consertive. Once on the bottom right off the bat found a couple of scallops. Rob and pete and my self begun to start to looking for the fish. Found my frist victim and pow hit, as I was trying to put him on the stringer he slipped out of my hand and off he swam s**t oh well ! continued with the dive ending up with two small rock fish and as I was trying to find somthing to be proud of I found my second ever Box Crab and the lagest between the two. Rob at this point had shot a small rock fish as well and pete shot a nice blue rock fish as well, by that point we were all getting a little low on air except for Rob since he had a HP100 on his back. We then ascended and kicked back talking and remencing about the dive. I will post a few pics as well. This makes 7 weeks in a row know of diving. I hope the good water holds till next month.
