Still Water Cove

This camp ground is just above Fort Ross by about 15 min. It's one of the few places with warm Showers for the wives. I've been camping there since I was a kid and I love it. There is also a great nature trail that we nicknamed the "Ewok Village" as kids.

warm showers
I just had my annual birthday ab diving camping trip at Woodside Campground in SP and once up there, i forgot to mention to the girls that there is no showers... lol. whoops! I am glad you have camped at Stillwater, because that was a place i always wondered how it would be. Normally we are about 12-15 campers and divers looking to have a good time.
Would you say that stilwater is more for families or ok for the late night party-ers?..not disrespectful, but definitely not rv-campers either.

Still Water Cove
If it's a party of guys that are taken baths in the ocean all weekend, you may not need the shower. What's the point anyways, right?
I grew up camping at Still Water Cove every year and I've seen some good parties in the past but as of most recent it has been a bit more of a family camp with a damper on the party life (depends on whose the ranger, they live on site). The rangers come buy around about 10PM and will definately let you know if your to loud. If your sitting by your fire cooking marshmellows your fine. I'm typically playing my guitar at night, but most of the noise cuts out at ten. There are some RV campers but a good mix of both. It does have an awesome nature trail and a beach access which use to have a stairway that no longer exist due to dryrot. The big perc is definately the hot showers for the women and men, if you wish to sleep with your women.
Stillwater 2008
for my first year of diving i went to Stillwater, exclusively. ya know the drill.. park below, unload gear, drive back up and park at the turnout and then clamber down the little back way, over the creek and Voila, the cove!
I am going to make a reservation for one site 8 people there next year.. maybe June cause it sounds like fun.. thanks for the heads up!
